How We Started

From marketplace sellers to enabler platform builders

Like many SMBs, we started as business owners trying to sell across multiple marketplaces.

We had successfully built our businesses but knew there was massive untapped potential in marketplace selling. Amazon, Walmart, Mercado Libre, Shopee, and other leading platforms represented incredible opportunities, but the complexity of managing multiple marketplace integrations was overwhelming for most SMBs.

The potential was clear, but the path forward was incredibly complex. What seemed like straightforward marketplace selling quickly became a nightmare of different APIs, compliance requirements, and operational challenges. Every platform had its own systems, and managing them all was nearly impossible.

Marketplace integrations required technical expertise most SMBs didn't have. Listing localization, inventory synchronization, order management, cross-border logistics, tax compliance, and multi-currency payments each presented unique challenges. Small businesses needed to either hire expensive tech teams or struggle with fragmented solutions.

Each marketplace had its own documentation, requirements, and operational demands. Wholesalers and manufacturers were losing out on massive revenue opportunities simply because they couldn't navigate the technical complexity of selling across multiple platforms simultaneously.

Instead of accepting these limitations, we decided to build the B2B enabler platform that would give any SMB access to leading marketplaces through one simple integration. That's how ssello was born.
